Alignment: Printers have different settings. It’s a good idea to first print on plain paper and trace over your sheet of labels. Your printer must be able to print up to 1/4″ from the edge of the paper.
When you go to print, you may get this warning:
“A header and a footer of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?”
If your printer is able to print up to 1/4″ from the edge of the paper, you can ignore and print. The actual image has been tested to print within the printable area.
Q: What is a label template?
A: A label template is a pre-made digital file you can fill in with your own words and pictures. Once you’ve added your content, you can print onto labels using your home printer. To make sure this is for you, you can experiment with free templates available on the Avery Label website. Click here to see them.
Q: What is a personalized label template?
A: A personalized label template is a template that has special art or copy that someone has added to the basic template. If you yourself added it, if you’ve chosen something someone else (like me) added, you’ve got yourself a personalized label template.
Q: Why are my labels faded looking? This isn’t how they look on the website.
A: They look faded in Microsoft Word, but they won’t print faded. This is MS Word’s way of showing items that are in the document’s “background”. Give it a try on a plain sheet of paper.
Q: I don’t have a laser printer. Will these work with my inkjet?
A: Yes. In fact, they were tested on an inkjet printer.
Q: Do these templates work with Apple’s Pages program?
A: Sorta. Click here to see a Macworld article about how to adjust your label template for Pages. If I get a few inquiries about this, I’ll add Pages templates, ok?
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Pay with all major credit cards (and some debit cards). That includes Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club cards.
Q: I’m not in the US. Can I still buy?
A: Yes. My payment service (Gumroad) supports transactions in over 190 countries. But keep in mind, these templates are set up for American standard letter sheets! If I get a few inquiries, I’ll be happy to add A4.
