I recently visited the Coffee Commissary in Los Angeles (West Hollywood), and decided to give it the Business Meeting Test by meeting a client here.
After passing this centrally-located spot for years, I finally ventured in to the Coffee Connection and was delighted to find a spacious, peaceful atmosphere. I was most recently here with friends, and we separated out into a “workaholics” table (hello) and the “chatters” table (or self-described “meditators”)…
We finally got ourselves over to the Blu Elefant Café on a lazy summer Sunday afternoon. The spot is on a relatively quiet mid-town piece of Washington Blvd., so I couldn’t miss the sparkly elephant sculpture and sidewalk tables.
My teen son and I checked out Café Bolívar on a late summer afternoon at the recommendation of friends. I was delighted to find a relaxed atmosphere, great service and really good coffee. This was a special “review” visit and not a real working session, but we stayed long enough to dodge rush hour and […]
If you’re looking for a quiet spot with great coffee and solid wifi in Westwood, leave the main boulevard and head around the corner to Espresso Profeta. It’s a pretty spot in a beautiful brick building with a small but airy indoor area, and outdoor seating in a garden-like setting.
Thank goodness for the relaxed and generous atmosphere at The Talking Stick in Venice, California!
The Koffee Klatch is my wifi spot in the Laguna Beach area. It’s got a bohemian/hipster vibe and gets a pretty broad range of customers, being just off the more heavily beaten tourist track a little further up the PCH.
I’ve been coming to Green Earth Coffee in Lake Forest for the last couple of years whenever I’ve been in the area. I love it for the relaxing sense of retreat, the great coffee and the solid wifi.
We spent last week in Ojai, California, where I met my deadlines at Full of Beans, just south of town. They serve locals and tourists good coffee, specialty drinks and lunch either outdoors, on the inviting side porch or in the tree-shaded back courtyard.
Visiting the high desert last week, I found good coffee, easy wifi and friendly people at The Grind Coffee House. Check out the amazing baked goods…
Kaffa! in Orange, California is one of the great, locally-owned cafés that inspired me to start the My Wifi Life review series. I’ve been going there for years whenever I’ve been in the area. My heart skips a beat when I realize my travels will take me near them.
Just checked out Adam’s Avenue Coffee in Huntington Beach for the first time last weekend. Online reviews were very positive, and my experience was no different…
Logo for New Orleans Espresso Bar Chain
A passion for crafting the perfect cup of espresso and a warm, outgoing personality are taking client Tamara Muro to stellar heights in the town she loves. She showed me retro winged logos she admired and I created a slightly updated, original pair for her. Since the earliest phases of this design (before she […]
