Gratitude for LA

I'm grateful for my time here in Los Angeles!

So much about being here forces me outside of myself. I must interact with so many different people. I must experience differences, and ugly things, and beautiful things, and make conscious choices about what I will and won’t accept.

I must work at seeing and discovering beauty. It aggravates me, it angers—infuriates—me. It humiliates me and frightens me… and all these things wake me up.

There is no way to fix it all, so I have to stay with simply experiencing it as it is.
