The Viewport collaboration presented unexpected possibilities for further synthesizing my Asemic work. In 2024, I had created more than 20 small, densely layered paintings for the Forgetting and Remembering series, which was followed by a number of open, grid-like frameworks that held looser, open strokes. Viewport showed me what can happen when dense layering meets open space, and it is the moment of their meeting—the horizon—that hints at potential.
